വനിതാ അണ്ടർ 23 ഏകദിന ടൂർണമെന്റിൽ കേരളത്തിന് തകർപ്പൻ ജയം; 179 റൺസിന് മേഘാലയയെ തകർത്തു

പുതുച്ചേരി∙  വനിതാ അണ്ടർ 23 ഏകദിന ടൂർണമെന്റിൽ മേഘാലയയ്ക്കെതിരെ തകർപ്പൻ വിജയവുമായി കേരളം. 179 റൺസിനാണ് കേരളം മേഘാലയയെ തോൽപിച്ചത്. ആദ്യം ബാറ്റ് ചെയ്ത കേരളം 50 ഓവറിൽ ഏഴ് വിക്കറ്റ് നഷ്ടത്തിൽ 263 റൺസെടുത്തു. മറുപടി ബാറ്റിങ്ങിന് ഇറങ്ങിയ മേഘാലയ 84 റൺസിന് ഓൾഔട്ടാവുകയായിരുന്നു. അഞ്ച് വിക്കറ്റ് വീഴ്ത്തുകയും 66 റൺസെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ നജ്‌ലയുടെ പ്രകടനമാണ് കേരളത്തിന് ഉജ്വല വിജയമൊരുക്കിയത്.

ടോസ് നേടി ബാറ്റിങ് തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത കേരളത്തിന് ഓപ്പണർമാരായ ദിയ ഗിരീഷും മാളവിക സാബുവും ചേർന്ന് മികച്ച തുടക്കമാണ് നല്കിയത്. ഇരുവരും ചേർന്ന് ഓപ്പണിങ് കൂട്ടുകെട്ടിൽ 70 റൺസ് കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. 23 റൺസെടുത്ത മാളവിക റണ്ണൗട്ടായെങ്കിലും, ദിയ ഗിരീഷ് 62 പന്തുകളിൽ 60 റൺസ് നേടി. തുടർന്നെത്തിയ വൈഷ്ണ 44 റൺസെടുത്തു. വൈഷ്ണ പുറത്തായതോടെ അടുപ്പിച്ച് മൂന്ന് വിക്കറ്റുകൾ നഷ്ടമായെങ്കിലും ക്യാപ്റ്റന്റെ ഇന്നിങ്സുമായി കളം നിറഞ്ഞ നജ്‌ലയുടെ പ്രകടനം കേരളത്തിന് തുണയായി.

നജ്‌ലയ്ക്കൊപ്പം മികച്ച പ്രകടനവുമായി വാലറ്റക്കാരായ അജന്യയും സൂര്യ സുകുമാറും ചേർന്നതോടെയാണ് കേരളം 263 റൺസെന്ന മികച്ച സ്കോറിലെത്തിയത്. 83 പന്തുകളിൽ 66 റൺസുമായി നജ്‌ല പുറത്താകാതെ നിന്നു. അജന്യ 32 പന്തിൽ 29 റൺസും സൂര്യ സുകുമാർ  14 പന്തിൽൽ 20 റൺസും നേടി.

മറുപടി ബാറ്റിങ്ങിന് ഇറങ്ങിയ മേഘാലയ നിരയിൽ ആർക്കും മികച്ച പ്രകടനം കാഴ്ച വയ്ക്കാനായില്ല. 22 റൺസെടുത്ത അങ്കിതയും 18 റൺസെടുത്ത സുരിതിയും മാത്രമാണ് രണ്ടക്കം കടന്നത്. നാല് ബാറ്റർമാർ പൂജ്യത്തിന് പുറത്തായി. 38.4 ഓവറിൽ 84 റൺസിന് മേഘാലയ ഓൾഔട്ടായി.  അഞ്ച് വിക്കറ്റ് വീഴ്ത്തിയ ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ നജ്‌ലയാണ് മേഘാലയ ബാറ്റിങ് നിരയെ തകർത്തത്. മേഘാലയയുടെ രണ്ട് ബാറ്റർമാരെ റണ്ണൗട്ടിലൂടെ പുറത്താക്കിയതും നജ്‌ല തന്നെ. സൂര്യ സുകുമാർ, നിയ നസ്നീൻ, എം.പി. അലീന എന്നിവർ ഓരോ വിക്കറ്റ് ‌വീഴ്ത്തി.
