കലിത്തുള്ളി കാലവർഷം, വീണ്ടും ന്യൂനമർദ്ദം; ട്രെയിനുകൾ വൈകിയോടുന്നു തിരുവനന്തപുരം ∙ ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിനു മുകളിലായി ഇന്ന് മറ്റൊരു ന്യൂനമർദ്ദം കൂടി രൂപപ്പെടാൻ സാധ്യതയുള്ളതിനാൽ കേരളത്തിൽ അടുത്ത 5 ദിവസം വ്യാപകമായ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നാണ് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പിന്റെ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്. കേരള, ലക്ഷദ്വീപ് തീരങ്ങളിൽ മത്സ്യബന്ധനത്തിനു വിലക്കുണ്ട്.

കേരള തീരത്ത് കള്ളക്കടൽ മുന്നറിയിപ്പും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.  

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് അതിശക്തമായ മഴ തുടരുകയാണ്. കോഴിക്കോട്, വയനാട്, കണ്ണൂർ എന്നീ മൂന്ന് ജില്ലകളിൽ ഇന്ന് റെഡ് അലർട്ടാണ്.

തൃശൂർ, മലപ്പുറം, കാസർഗോട് ജില്ലകളിൽ ഓറഞ്ച് അലർട്ടും, മറ്റ് ജില്ലകളിൽ യെലോ അലർട്ടും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിശക്തമായ മഴ തുടരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ കണ്ണൂർ, വയനാട്, കോട്ടയം, കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലകളിലെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇന്ന് അവധിയാണ്.

ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി ഏഴുമണിയോടെ മാത്തോട്ടം-അരീക്കാട് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള ട്രാക്കിലേക്ക് മൂന്ന് മരങ്ങൾക്കൊപ്പം വീണ അലൂമിനിയം ഷീറ്റ് ട്രാക്കിനു മുകളിലെ വൈദ്യുതലൈനിൽ വന്നുവീണതാണ് തീപ്പൊരിയുണ്ടാക്കി. വൻ അപകടമാണ് തലനാരിഴയ്ക്ക് ഒഴിവായത്.

അപകടമുണ്ടായസ്ഥലത്തിന് 200 മീറ്ററോളം അകലെ തിരുനെൽവേലി-ജാംനഗർ എക്സ്പ്രസ് നിർത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. നാട്ടുകാർ അപായ സൈറൺ മുഴക്കിയതോടെയാണ് ട്രെയിൻ നിർത്തിയത്.

ഇതോടെ ട്രെയിൻ ഗതാഗതം താറുമാറായി. പലയിടത്തും ട്രെയിനുകൾ പിടിച്ചിട്ടു.

ട്രെയിനുകൾ വൈകിയോടുന്നത് തുടരുകയാണ്. വൈദ്യുതി ലൈൻ പൊട്ടിയതോടുകൂടി ട്രാക്കിലും ട്രെയിനിനുള്ളിലും പൂർണമായും ഇരുട്ടാകുകയായിരുന്നു.  വൈകിട്ട് 6.55നാണ് ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുപോലെ അതിശക്തമായ കാറ്റ് വീശിയടിച്ചതെന്ന് പ്രദേശവാസികൾ പറഞ്ഞു.

ലോക്കോപൈലറ്റ് വിവരമറിയിച്ചതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട്ടുനിന്ന്‌ സ്റ്റേഷൻ മാനേജർ സി.കെ.ഹരീഷിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ റെയിൽവേ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും വൈദ്യുതലൈൻ അറ്റകുറ്റപ്പണിനടത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒഎച്ച്ഇ ഇൻസ്പെക്‌ഷൻകാരും സ്ഥലത്തെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു.
