നാഗ്പുർ ∙ രഞ്ജി ട്രോഫി ഫൈനൽ പ്രവേശനമെന്ന സ്വപ്നം സാക്ഷാത്കരിച്ചു കേരള ടീം തിളങ്ങി നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിനു വഴിയൊരുക്കിയ ഘടകങ്ങളിൽ സുപ്രധാനമായതു കേരള ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ലീഗിന്റെ (കെസിഎൽ) വിജയം കൂടിയാണ്. ഐപിഎൽ മാതൃകയിൽ കേരള ക്രിക്കറ്റ് അസോസിയേഷൻ നടപ്പാക്കിയ കെസിഎൽ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ക്രിക്കറ്റിനാകെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ഉണർവ് രഞ്ജി വിജയത്തിനും പ്രേരകമായി.

ഐപിഎലിൽ കേരളത്തിനു സ്വന്തമായി കൊച്ചി ടസ്കേഴ്സ് ടീമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് 6 മലയാളി താരങ്ങൾ കളിച്ചിരുന്നതു ക്രമേണ ഒരാളിലേക്കു വരെ ചുരുങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. കെസിഎൽ വന്നതോടെ ഇത്തവണ ഐപിഎൽ ലേലത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാനായതു 16 പേർക്ക്. ഇതു സർവകാല നേട്ടം ആണെന്നു കെസിഎൽ ചെയർമാനും രഞ്ജി ടീം മാനേജറുമായ നാസർ മച്ചാൻ പറയുന്നു.
