കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം ഡിസംബറിൽ സ്‍ലൊവേനിയയിൽ നടന്ന ലോക യൂത്ത് റാപ്പിഡ് ആൻഡ് ബ്ലിറ്റ്സ് ചെസ് ചാംപ്യൻഷിപ്പിൽ അണ്ടർ 18 വിഭാഗത്തിൽ താരം രണ്ടു സ്വർണം വിജയിച്ചിരുന്നു. രണ്ടു വർഷം മുൻപ് മാഗ്നസ് കാൾസനെ തോൽപിച്ചും പ്രണവ് ചെസ് ആരാധകരെ ഞെട്ടിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യയിൽനിന്നുള്ള 75–ാം ഗ്രാൻഡ്മാസ്റ്ററാണ് പ്രണവ്. കർണാടക സ്വദേശിയാണ്.
