ആഭ്യന്തര ക്രിക്കറ്റിൽ 20 വർഷത്തോളം മുംബൈ ടീമിനെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച ഇടംകൈ സ്പിന്നറായ ശിവാൽക്കർ, ടീമിനു വേണ്ടി ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ വിക്കറ്റ് നേടിയ താരമാണ്. 124 ഫസ്റ്റ് ക്ലാസ് മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നായി 589 വിക്കറ്റ് നേടി. എന്നാൽ ദേശീയ ടീമിൽ അവസരം ലഭിച്ചില്ല.
