ദുബായ്∙ ചാംപ്യൻസ് ട്രോഫി സെമിഫൈനലിൽ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയ്‌ക്കെതിരായ മത്സരത്തിനിടെ ഇന്ത്യൻ താരം രവീന്ദ്ര ജഡേജ കയ്യിൽ കെട്ടിയ ടേപ്പ് അഴിപ്പിച്ച് അംപയർ. മത്സരത്തിൽ ജഡേജ ബോൾ ചെയ്യാനെത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് ഇടംകയ്യിലെ കൈപ്പത്തിയിൽ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്ന ടേപ്പ് അംപയർ റിച്ചാർഡ് ഇല്ലിങ്‌വർത്തിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെട്ടത്. ഉടൻതന്ന അദ്ദേഹം ജഡേജയെ സമീപിച്ച് ടേപ്പ് അഴിച്ചുമാറ്റാൻ നിർദ്ദേശിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

ജഡേജ തന്റെ ഭാഗം വിശദീകരിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും ടേപ്പ് നീക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യത്തിൽ അംപയർ ഉറച്ചുനിന്നു. ഇന്ത്യൻ ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ രോഹിത് ശർമ, വിരാട് കോലി എന്നിവരും വിഷയത്തിൽ ഇടപെട്ടു.
