കൊച്ചി∙ നാളെ മുതൽ വിദേശ യാത്രകൾക്കു ചെലവേറും. യാത്രകൾക്ക് വിദേശ നാണ്യം വാങ്ങുമ്പോൾ 7 ലക്ഷം രൂപയിലേറെയുള്ള തുകയ്ക്കെങ്കിൽ 20% ടിസിഎസ് (സ്രോതസിൽ നികുതി) ഈടാക്കും.
7 ലക്ഷത്തിൽ താഴെയുള്ള തുകകൾക്ക് 5% നിരക്ക്.ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനുള്ള ഫീസ് അടയ്ക്കാനും മറ്റ് ചെലവുകൾക്കും വിദേശനാണ്യം വാങ്ങുമ്പോൾ അംഗീകൃത ധനകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വായ്പയുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ 0.5% നിരക്ക് മാത്രം. വായ്പ എടുത്തിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിൽ 5% നിരക്ക്.
വിദേശത്തേക്കു ടൂർ പാക്കേജുകളിൽ പോകുന്നവർക്ക് തുക 7 ലക്ഷത്തിനു മുകളിലാണെങ്കിൽ 20% ടിസിഎസ് നൽകേണ്ടി വരും. 7 ലക്ഷത്തിൽ താഴെയെങ്കിൽ 5%.
എന്നാൽ വിദേശയാത്രയുടെ 60 ദിവസം മുമ്പ് വിദേശനാണ്യം വാങ്ങാൻ റിസർവ് ബാങ്ക് അനുവദിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. എങ്കിൽ നവംബർ 30 വരെയുള്ള യാത്രകൾക്ക് ഇന്ന് വിദേശനാണ്യം വാങ്ങിയാൽ പുതിയ നിരക്കുകൾ ബാധകമാവില്ല.
