‘‘തുടർച്ചയായി മത്സരങ്ങൾ കളിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് ദുബായ് സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലെ സാഹചര്യം ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കു നല്ല പരിചിതമായിരിക്കും. ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ലഹോർ പോലെ. പക്ഷേ അതൊന്നും ഞങ്ങൾ വലിയ കാര്യമായിട്ടെടുക്കുന്നില്ല. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അനുകൂല സാഹചര്യങ്ങളക്കുറിച്ചല്ല, സ്വന്തം അനുകൂല ഘടകങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചിന്ത.’’- കെയ്ൻ വില്യംസൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

‘‘ദുബായ് പിച്ചിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വലിയ ധാരണയില്ല. ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കെതിരായ ഗ്രൂപ്പ് മത്സരത്തിൽ പന്ത് ടേൺ ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ വ്യത്യസ്ത പിച്ചുകൾ ഉള്ളതിനാൽ അതൊരു പൊതുസ്വഭാവമായി കാണാനുമാകില്ല. ഏതു സാഹചര്യത്തോടും പൊരുത്തപ്പെടാനുള്ള മനസ്സുമായിട്ടാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ ഫൈനലിന് ഇറങ്ങുന്നത്..’’- രചിൻ രവീന്ദ്രയുടെ വാക്കുകൾ.

‘‘ചാംപ്യൻസ് ട്രോഫിയിൽ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മത്സരങ്ങൾ ദുബായിലായത് വല്ലാത്തൊരു അവസ്ഥയാണ് ഞങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടാക്കിയത്. കറാച്ചിയിലെ അവസാന ഗ്രൂപ്പ് മത്സരത്തിനു ശേഷം സെമിഫൈനൽ ഒരുക്കത്തിനായി ഞങ്ങൾ ദുബായിലേക്കു പറന്നു. സെമിയിലെ എതിരാളികൾ ന്യൂസീലൻഡാണ് എന്നുറപ്പായതോടെ തിരിച്ചു പാക്കിസ്ഥാനിലേക്കു തന്നെ വരേണ്ടി വന്നു. ഫൈനലിൽ ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കെതിരെ ന്യൂസീലൻഡ് ജയിക്കണം എന്നാണ് എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം.’’- ഡേവിഡ് മില്ലർ പറഞ്ഞു.
